Dustin Zick - Twitter 2014. What Works and What Doesn't

Back in 2009, it might have been possible for some businesses to just create a Twitter account, take advantage of the platform's early growth and see results. 5 years later it's much harder. Realizing an ROI from Twitter requires a strategic approach that takes into account a more realistic view of the market, and how the public...and your competition...are using Twitter. This session will show you what successful businesses are doing now to Tweet their way to measurable results.

Dustin Zick is the Social Media Manager for Marcus Hotels & Resorts, where, for the past two years he's been driving the social efforts for the Historic Pfister Hotel, InterContinental Milwaukee, Hilton Milwaukee City Center, and all of the restaurants within (, ,@miller_time_pub) . Prior to joining the Marcus family in 2012, he spent two years working for leading eCommerce retailer, BuySeasons, in New Berlin, WI. Dustin was brought on board as that company's first Social Media Specialist in January of 2011.

Since finding himself in the heart of downtown Milwaukee with his current position, Dustin has become an active and vocal advocate for all of the opportunity and potential Milwaukee has as a city. In April of 2013, he co-founded to provide an outlet to share creative perspectives of the city, and is eager to see where the next steps for that endeavor takes him.
