Beginning as a combination online yearbook/student networking tool, Facebook is now experiencing explosive growth among those 39 and older. Although still a place to exchange photos and write public notes, many businesses and brands have discovered the benefits of allowing Facebookers to engage them as fans and peers. Most people know how to use Facebook as a social Web site, but over 100,000 businesses have begun to use it as a powerful element in their brand strategy. This session will show you how several brands are leveraging the functionality already built into Facebook as well as creating custom applications developed to run on the Facebook platform.
