Jessie DeMars and Dana Arnold - How to Connect Social Media to All Marketing Actions to Get People in Your Doors

Since 1984, Culver's has been delighting guests one meal at a time with their signature ButterBurgers and made-daily Fresh Frozen Custard. Social Media is a dynamic piece of the "Welcome to Delicious" marketing puzzle for Culver's. And as with any great marketing program, it must connect to the target audience and tell a really good story.

In this session, you’ll learn new ways to determine who your target audience is within Social Media and how to create a lasting connection to them – just like Culver’s has. Specifically, Jessie and Dana will dig into:

Jessie DeMars is the Marketing and Digital Promotions Manager for Culver Franchising System, Inc. (CFSI), the franchisor for over 500 Culver’s Frozen Custard & ButterBurgers restaurants. Jessie is responsible for the seamless digital experience for Culver’s guests that matches the highly-lauded offline hospitality. Specifically, the text program, email program, website and social media are each components that Jessie manages. Jessie joined Culver’s in 2011. Prior to Culver’s Jessie held the position of Marketing and Business Development Coordinator for Vierbicher Associates, Inc., a multi-disciplined consulting firm. Her areas of experience range from social media, web site best practices, digital promotions, and local restaurant marketing.

Jessie’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University and continuing education for web design and development with Madison College.

Dana Arnold is a Public Relations and Social Media Director whose contagious energy and passion feeds every client project she touches. A seasoned and accredited public relations professional, she has successfully developed and implemented strategic public relations campaigns including media relations, product launches, social media, community relations, event management and crisis communications. With a signature laugh, Dana has spent her career at agencies, even developing two boutique practices of her own. Her work has stretched across a variety of consumer and B-to-B brands including Kwik Trip, Toppers Pizza, Hilton’s Home2 Suites, Culver’s, Schneider, Kerry Ingredients, Fiskars and more. When she’s not in the office, Dana and her husband can be found herding their two active boys or trying the latest dining hotspot in town.
